Our Dream Farm

It's been a lifelong dream of ours to own a farm with an ol farmhouse to renovate and, to be honest, we were unsure if it would ever be more than a dream. In May of 2019, after years of searching, we were approached by Glenn & Kathleen Beckham about purchasing a portion of their 5th generation family farm dating back to the 1870’s. It took almost a year and a half to get the deal done and we closed in Jan 2021. Glenn, along with his brother and two sisters, had inherited the 500 acre horse and cattle ranch. Glenn bought the entire ranch from his siblings, but needed to sell a portion of the property to make the deal work. That’s when they approached us. We nearly passed out in their driveway when they told us they wanted to sell of their 1885 farmhouse complete with vintage barns and gorgeous surrounding pastureland. It is simply picture perfect with rolling hills and pastures, alongside woods and seasonal views of Pine Mountain Ridge. This was truly a dream come true.

The timing couldn't have been more perfect! We were able to sell our farm and move our lavender and flower growing farm operation to our “new” farm. We went straight to work on the 1870's farmhouse and barns with the goal of turning them into an idyllic setting for weddings that matches the breath taking beauty of this land. It will be a years long project to turn the farmhouse and property into the vision we have, but we’re up for the task.

On the flower farm side, we currently have 4,000 lavender plants in the ground with our first harvest planned for June of 2022. Yes, the smell is amazing at harvest time. Even after harvest, you can tour our drying barn where the lavender is hung to air dry before being sold. We also grow thousands of daylilies for sale and also zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, daisies and other specialty flowers for U-pick and farmers market bouquets from June-September.
